Dear Every Blogger

It saddens me to admit to you that I've spent most of my day in my pajamas, searching Bloglovin' for interesting blog posts to read. I went looking for some new and inspiring bloggers to follow and boy did I hit the jackpot. If you explore under "top mommy blogs" you'll likely see a recent trend; a post from Josi, a former "mommy blogger," in which she informs all current "mommy bloggers" that they should kick rocks and die. (I'm paraphrasing here.) After reading the "epic rant" as some are calling it, I then came across dozens of responses from other bloggers. Some agree, some disagree and some are on the fence. I'm going to just take a few minutes to throw in my two cents as well.

Here it is: who cares?

Who cares what everyone else blogs about. Who cares why someone else blogs. Who cares if a blogger wants to make money or get free products or share 7438962487 photos of their kids and their dogs and their pretty, perfect little house. Who cares if people only post the happy, good, perfect little moments. If that's how you choose to represent yourself and your life then guess what? You can. That's the beauty of the internet!

If you go to bed at night and you're okay with who you are and what you've done then good for you. You don't owe an explanation to any one for any thing. And if you're not happy about it? Change it. Or don't. Who cares?

Write what you want. Say what you want. Share what you want. Follow who you want. It's not up to all the other bloggers out there to decide what kind of blogger you should be. Be who you want.

I'm a mom. I'm a wife. I cook food. I take pictures. I have DIY projects. I love makeup. I love shopping and fashion. I drink coffee. I use social media. I'm a blogger.

And Josi is just another blogger, a writer, who wrote an article that she wanted to get tons of attention. Guess what? She did what she set out to do. She set the bait and everyone walked into her little trap, handing out all the knee-jerk reactions she wanted and expected.

Me included.
