Elizabeth Blair // 5 Months

My youngest daughter is pretty new to the world. Today is the day she officially turns 5 months. Elizabeth Blair was born on August 5, 2014. Blair is my third daughter and the only baby I've ever gone into labor on my own with. We were scheduled for an induction on August 7, but she decided to come on her own two days before that. It was actually a pretty special day for my family, as August 5 was the birthday of my mother's mother, who passed away in 2008.

STATS // 13+ pounds & 26" & curly brown hair & eyes that are still mostly blue, but have started turning light brown round the inner ring.

MILESTONES // Blair can roll around and push herself backwards across the floor with her arms. She had her first Christmas and was able to meet Santa for the first time. She got her ears pierced as one of her Christmas presents. (That's what you get when mommy gets to pick what you want since you're too young to tell Santa what you want yourself.)

DIET // Blair was diagnosed with colic and acid reflux when she was almost a month old. Luckily for all of us, she seems to have outgrown the colic just over the past few weeks. Her acid reflux has settled down some as well, and we were able to take her off of her Zantac prescription and just give her cereal in her bottles. Her normal bottle routine is 5 ounces of formula with a teaspoon of cereal mixed in and on a normal day she takes her bottle every 3-4 hours. She has slowly started trying baby foods and seems to like them pretty well. Although we have only given her green beans, apples and bananas so far.

SLEEP // For a long time, Blair would wake up every 2.5 hours throughout the night to eat. And by "a long time" I mean up until a few weeks ago. Just this past week she has started sleeping from about 11 at night until 6 in the morning. She's very good at waking up to eat just 15 minutes before the alarm goes off.

LIKES // Her swing, laying on a quilt and chewing on her toys, hearing other people laugh, when her daddy throws her up in the air and Nick Jr.

DISLIKES // Her car seat and taking long naps. Seriously, I can't think of anything else this kid doesn't like. She's pretty happy unless she is hungry and you aren't getting her bottle ready fast enough.
