Elizabeth Blair // 8 Months

Technically, we are closer to nine months than eight, but at least I'm still getting this posted before she makes it to a whole other month. You also might have noticed the monthly photos with the stickers and white teddy bear have disappeared. After about six months we got a little behind and I'm thinking it's a bit too late to catch up. But at least we have the first six months!

STATS // Not sure of her exact measurements this month, but she has definitely grown.

MILESTONES // The latest and greatest feat is the slow and steady attempts to stand up on her own. She's done it about three times so far. She thinks it's hilarious when we clap for her after she does it.

DIET // Blair has a pretty good mixture of baby food, formula and table food going on. Of course, the table food is her favorite. And for someone with only two teeth, she is a very excellent eater of table food. I let her chew on some pizza crust at her cousin's birthday party and she cried when it was all gone.

SLEEP // Bedtime has been around 8PM and she usually sleeps until either 4AM or 6AM before she wakes up for a bottle. Then she generally goes back to sleep for another hour or two. Luckily for this mama.

LIKES // Swinging and crawling around the house after her big sisters.

DISLIKES // Diaper changes are becoming a bit of a hassle, just because Blair really isn't a fan of sitting still.

Weekend at Nana's

Over the weekend, Andy was recruited to help build a huge deck to go around the pool at his parents' house. We spend all day Saturday and Sunday hanging out in the yard with the family while the guys worked on the deck. This deck is going to be huge and we are all really excited for it to be finished. But boy is it a process!

Andy's sister got onto me for being a slacker with the blog, so here I am bright and not too early on Monday with some photos to share from our weekend. I would have posted earlier, but I spent the morning making and posting new items to the Etsy shop. More on that tomorrow.

Friday Favorites // Easter

Last weekend, we went to visit my parents in Memphis for Easter. It's an almost 5 hour drive and we made it with all three kids with almost no crying. It was a true Easter miracle. We colored and hunted eggs, ate lots of yummy food, watched the LDS conference/took some good naps while Nana and Papa played with the babies. I don't think we could have asked for a better first Easter for Blair.

Emily really cracked me up this year. It was the first year that she was old enough to understand and enjoy the festivities and enjoy them she did. Her egg dying was very enthusiastic; she would pick up an egg and chunk it into a cup of dye like a basketball and then go back for another until every cup had at least one egg in it. Then she would dig them out with her hand and put them all in different colors. Big sister was not as amused with that as I was.

We came back home on Monday and pretty much got right back to our normal, hectic routine. Last night we started the makeover for our dinning room and I can't wait to show you the end results. I had intended to go with a black and gold look, but then I came across this great rug at an outlet store and totally changed my direction. I'm a bad blogger and forgot to take a before photo last night, but luckily our living room is still the same ugly sky blue as the dining room was so I can still give you an idea of what we were up against.

Until then, Happy Weekend!
